The Slickers was a Jamaican reggae band, active in the 1960s and 1970s. The
group initially consisted of Derrick Crooks and his brother Sydney Crooks, along
with Winston Bailey. In the mid-1960s, Abraham Green joined the lineup around
the time "Johnny Too Bad" was recorded. The Slickers gained significant
attention when their song "Johnny Too Bad" was featured in the 1972 film The
