The Silvertones
The Silvertones are a Jamaican reggae harmony group formed in 1964 by Delroy
Denton, Keith Coley, and Gilmore Grant. They gained early success with the
singles "True Confession" (1965) and "It's Real" (1965), produced by Duke Reid
and released on the Dr. Bird label. They released notable tracks such as "In the
Midnight Hour" (1968) and "Old Man River" (1968) on Reid's Treasure Isle label.
They recorded the album Silver Bullets (1974) with Lee "Scratch" Perry, voiced
at King Tubby's Studio and released on his Black Ark label and Trojan Records in
