The Ruse
The Ruse is an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California. Formed
in 2004 in New York City before relocating to California in 2005, the group
consists of vocalist John Dauer, guitarist Jim Bilus, bassist Mark Stolze, and
drummer Jason Young. Their debut album, Invasion (2005), and the EP Light in
Motion (2006) opened a coast-to-coast touring circuit. The album Midnight in the
City (2008) reached number 21 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart after the
single “Beautiful Is Gone” was selected as the iTunes Single of the Week in June
