The Rubinoos
The Rubinoos, an American power pop band, formed in 1970 in Berkeley,
California. The group was founded by Tommy Dunbar and Jon Rubin, with other
founding members including Greg 'Curly' Keranen, Alex Carlin, Ralph Granich, and
Danny Wood. Initially playing rock and roll oldies at local dances, the Rubinoos
soon shifted to original material. Their early development was influenced by
Earth Quake, a band featuring Tommy Dunbar's older brother Robbie Dunbar. In
1973, Greg 'Curly' Keranen rejoined the group, which then included Donn Spindt
