The Power Station were an American-British musical supergroup formed in New York
City in 1984, comprising John Taylor on bass, Andy Taylor on guitar, Tony
Thompson on drums, and Robert Palmer as the lead vocalist. The band emerged
during a hiatus of Duran Duran, with John Taylor and his then-girlfriend Bebe
Buell initially planning to record "Get It On" by T. Rex. After their
relationship ended, the musicians decided to form Big Brother, inviting various
