The Organ was a Canadian post-punk band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia,
in 2001. The group was conceived by frontwoman Katie Sketch, who began her
musical training on the violin at age three. After forming an instrumental trio
called Full Sketch with friends Sarah "Sketch" Efron and Barb "Sketch" Choit,
Sketch decided to create a new band focused on vocals. This led to the formation
of The Organ in 2001, with Katie Sketch on drums, Jenny Smyth on keyboards,
