The Nutmegs
The Nutmegs is a 1950s American doo-wop ensemble from New Haven. Led by tenor
Leroy Griffin, the quintet signed with Herald Records. In 1955, the group
released the singles “Story Untold” and “Ship of Love”. On the national R&B
charts, the recording “Story Untold” reached number 2, and “Ship of Love”
reached number 13.
