The Motet
The Motet is an American funk ensemble from Denver established in Boulder in
1998. The group consists of the musicians Dave Watts, Ryan Jalbert, Joey Porter,
Garrett Sayers, Drew Sayers, and Sarah Clarke. They achieved professional
recognition for a musical style characterized by funk, soul, and jazz. The
ensemble was founded by the drummer Watts as a musical collective with a
rotating lineup. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording
