The Mammals, an American folk rock band from the Hudson Valley area of New York,
was formed in 2001 by Mike Merenda, Ruth Ungar, and Tao Rodríguez-Seeger. Their
debut album Born Live was released in 2001. The band's lineup evolved over the
years. In 2005, they performed at Arlo Guthrie’s annual holiday concert at
Carnegie Hall and were censored for their song "The Bush Boys" at a festival in
Lafayette, LA. The Mammals have collaborated with various notable artists,
