The Lighthouse and the Whaler is a band from Cleveland, Ohio, combining elements of folk and indie rock. The group was formed in 2008 by singer and guitarist Michael LoPresti, and they gained their first bit of exposure when their first song “The Field Song” was included as part of a Paste Magazine Sampler CD. Soon after, the group recorded their full-length self-titled debut.
