The Legendary Pink Dots, an Anglo-Dutch experimental rock band, were formed in
London in August 1980. The core members included Edward Ka-Spel and Philip
Knight. Initially known as One Day..., the band changed their name to The
Legendary Pink Dots and released their first albums Only Dreaming and Kleine
Krieg in 1981. In 1984, they moved to Amsterdam and signed with Play It Again
Sam for the release of The Lovers. Asylum, one of the band's most critically
