The Hunters
The Hunters were a British instrumental band formed in the late 1950s in
Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England, by drummer Norman Sheffield, rhythm guitarist
Norman Stracey, lead guitarist Brian Parker, and bassist Johnny Rogers. Billy
Kuy later played bass for the group's reunions following the death of Rogers on
May 27, 1963. The band's first major hit came in May 1960 when the single “Sweet
Dreams”, on which they backed singer Dave Sampson, reached number 29 on the UK
Singles Chart. Between 1960 and 1964, the band released several instrumental
singles, including “Teen Scene” (1960)...
