The Glencoves were a folk pop group formed in 1961 in Mineola, Long Island, New
York. The band consisted of Don Connors (founder, lead vocals, banjo and
guitar), Bill Byrne (vocals), and Brian Bolger (vocals and guitar). After
releasing their first single record, John Cadley joined the group as a vocalist
and guitarist. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Hootenanny", which
peaked at Number 5 or Number 6 in the local New York market and reached Number
