The Elms were an American rock band formed in 2000, originating from Seymour,
Indiana. The group consisted of Owen Thomas, his brother Christopher Thomas, and
guitarist Thomas Daugherty. Their first full-length album, The Big Surprise was
released in May 2001, followed by Truth, Soul, Rock & Roll (2002), featuring the
single "Speaking In Tongues" which aired on MTV2's "120 Minutes." The band
gained critical acclaim for their live performances and mature lyrical content.
