The Derailers, an American country music band, were founded in 1994 by Tony
Villanueva and Brian Hofeldt. Their debut LP, Live Tracks, was released in 1995
on Austin-based independent label Freedom Records, marking a significant
breakthrough at the South by Southwest music festival that year. The Derailers
quickly gained traction within the Americana movement, known for their
traditional honky-tonk sound. They signed with Watermelon Records for their
