The Chosen Few
The Chosen Few were an Australian punk band formed in 1978. The group initially
consisted of Ian John Cunningham, Calum "Cal" McAlpine, and Bruce Friday, who
had previously played together in a hard rock band called Deathwish. They were
soon joined by Iain Weaver on lead vocals. In their early days, The Chosen Few
released a six-track extended play titled The Joke's on Us in 1978. The band
played regularly around the Melbourne and Adelaide punk scenes but disbanded in
