The Brotherhood
The Brotherhood were an English hip hop ensemble from London established in
1984. The group was founded as a collective called the Brotherhood VIP and
included the musicians Aston Harvey, Laurence Knopf, and Sir Yes. They achieved
professional recognition for a musical style characterized as UK hip hop. Their
recording career began with the extended play Descendents of the Holocaust
(1991) which reached number 8 on the UK Echoes Hip Hop Chart. The ensemble
