The Benjamins were an American pop punk rock band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
formed in 1998 by brothers Jay Stys (vocals, guitar) and Chris Stys (drums), Dan
Hinz (guitar), and Ron Forchette (bass). Ben Perlstein and Jon Phillip soon
replaced Forchette and Chris Stys. They released their first EP Bordering on
Boredom in 2000. Their first full-length album, The Art of Disappointment, was
released on Drive-Thru Records in 2001. The group toured with acts such as Mock
Orange, Reel Big Fish, Sum 41, and Showoff, before disbanding in October 2001.
