The Bells
The Bells, initially known as the Five Bells, was a Canadian soft rock band
originating from Montreal, formed in 1964 by South African-born sisters Anne
Ralph and Jackie Ralph, guitarist Cliff Edwards, bassist Doug Gravelle, and
drummer Gordon McLeod. The group’s early work included the single “Moody
Manitoba Morning” (1969), which reached number 78 on the RPM 100 chart. After
Anne retired in 1970, the group shortened its name to the Bells and released the
hit single “Fly Little White Dove Fly” (1970), which entered the Canadian top
