The Banned
The Banned were an English power pop and punk rock ensemble from London
established in 1977. The group originally consisted of the musicians Paul
Aitken, Jonathan Davie, Richard Harvey, and Pete Airey. Aitken previously
performed with the ensemble Precious Little and Harvey and Davie previously
performed with the ensemble Gryphon. They achieved professional recognition for
the track “Little Girl” (1977) which reached number 36 in the United Kingdom.
