The Almighty, a Scottish hard rock/heavy metal band from Glasgow, was formed in
1988 by Ricky Warwick, Stump Monroe, Floyd London, and Andy "Tantrum"
McCafferty. The group's musical roots were in punk, but they adopted a heavier
sound for their early releases. In March 1989, the Almighty signed with Polydor
and released their debut album Blood, Fire & Love. They also secured a long-term
songwriting agreement with Chrysalis Music. The band's second studio album, Soul
Destruction (1991), was produced by Andy Taylor of Duran Duran. In 1993, they
released their third album Powertripp...
