A rapper in the group The Wooliganz in the early 1990s, Alan Daniel Maman really
came into his own as a DJ and producer under the name The Alchemist. Born on
October 25, 1977 in Beverly Hills, California, he made his name working on
Cypress Hill's album III: Temples of Boom (1995). A protégé of DJ Muggs, he
collaborated with Mobb Deep in 1999 on Murda Muzik , then on The Platform by
