The 88 was an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in
2002 by Adam Merrin and Keith Slettedahl. The group consisted of Merrin,
Slettedahl, Anthony Zimmitti, and Todd O'Keefe. Their popularity grew from song
placements in video games, films, and television shows. Their first album, Kind
of Light, appeared in 2003. From 2010 to 2012, the band toured with Ray Davies,
serving as his opening act and backing band, including a performance at London's
