Terry Dexter
Terry Dexter, born in Detroit, Michigan, is an American contemporary R&B singer
and actress. Dexter began performing with the Detroit‑based quartet Tristar at
age nine and provided background vocals for artists such as Simply Red by
eleven. In 1998, she signed with Warner Bros. Records, releasing her eponymous
debut album in 1999, and singles including "Better than Me" and "Strayed Away".
Her debut single, "You'll Never Miss Me 'Til I'm Gone", appeared on the Rush
