Tempest
Tempest, a Celtic rock band from Oakland, California, was formed in 1988 by Lief
Sørbye on mandolin and vocals, Adolfo Lazo on drums, Rob Wullenjohn on guitar,
and Mark Showalter on bass. The band's music blends traditional Celtic tunes
with Norwegian and European folk, American folk, and progressive rock elements.
Their debut album Bootleg came out in 1991. Throughout their career, Tempest has
experienced numerous lineup changes, with Sørbye and Lazo remaining constant
