Technique
Technique was a British synthpop band formed in the mid‑1990s by Kate Holmes of
Frazier Chorus and vocalist Xan Tyler. Holmes and Tyler formed the group after
meeting at Butterfly Studios, where Tyler was working as a session backing
vocalist. They recorded their debut album with producers Stephen Hague, Owen
Morris, and Holmes, with contributions from Tim Wheeler, Kirsty Hawkshaw, and
Youth. In 1999, the duo released two singles on Creation Records, such as
