Taylor Hicks
Taylor Reuben Hicks, born on October 7, 1976 in Birmingham, Alabama, is an
American singer. He began his musical journey at a young age, teaching himself
to play harmonica and guitar, and released two independent albums before gaining
national recognition. In 2005, Taylor Hicks auditioned for American Idol and won
the fifth season on May 24, 2006, becoming the oldest contestant to win the
competition at age 29. Following his victory, he signed with Arista Records and
