Commonly known as "Tarja" or "Tarja Turunen," Tarja Soile Susanna Turunen-Cabuli
is a heavy metal singer who performed with the Finnish band Nightwish before
topping the charts with her solo debut, Henkäys ikuisuudesta, in 2006. She was
born on August 17, 1977, in Kitee, Finland, and began studying classical vocal
techniques as a child. After co-founding Nightwish in 1996, she logged a a
