Tamás Iván Somló, born on November 17, 1947, in Budapest, Hungary, was a
Hungarian musician and singer-songwriter. He was a member of Hungarian rock
bands Omega, Kex, Non-Stop, and Locomotiv GT. His main instruments included the
bass guitar, clarinet, and saxophone. Somló released the solo albums Som-ló
(1992), Semmi cirqsz (1997), 50mló koncert (1998), Zenecsomag (2000), and Egy
adag somlói (2007). He was awarded the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary
in 2004. He died on July 19, 2016, due to cancer. Following his death, Locomotiv
GT announced their dissolution.
