Sylvia Sass, born Judit Szilvia Sass on July 12, 1951, in Budapest, Hungary, is
a soprano known for her association with the Italian operatic repertoire. She
studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and made her debut at the Hungarian
State Opera in 1971 as Frasquita in Carmen. Throughout her career, Sass
