Sylford Walker
Sylford Walker, born around 1955 in Penlyne Castle, St. Thomas, Jamaica, is a
reggae singer. At nine years old, he moved to Kingston and later began working
with producer Glen Brown before his first recordings for Joe Gibbs Music were
released in 1975. His early singles included "Burn Babylon" and "Jah Golden
Pen", the latter written during a prison sentence. Walker's most productive
period was from the mid-1970s, with singles like "Lamb's Bread" and "Eternal
Day". His debut album, Lamb's Bread, produced by Brown and mixed by King Tubby,
was recorded in 1978 but released a decade...
