Svinkels
The group Svinkels has made a name for itself in the French rap scene thanks to
its humor and musical style, which blends punk-inspired rock with electronic
music. Formed in 1994 by Parisian Gérard Baste and Nicolas Tissier, aka Nikus
Pocus, the duo—which takes its name from a brand of beer—expanded with the
addition of DJ Do Bass (Frédéric Lansac) on the turntables, followed by Mr.
Xavier (Xavier Vindard), both of whom came from the duo Les Professionnels.
After a critically acclaimed eight-track debut EP, Juste Fais Là ! (1998), the
