Svavar Knútur
Svavar Knútur Kristinsson, known professionally as Svavar Knútur, is an
Icelandic singer-songwriter from the Northwest of Iceland and the Eastfjords. He
began his music career with the release of his debut album Kvöldvaka in 2009. In
2010, he released Amma, followed by Ölduslóð in 2012, which featured a
collaboration with Czech singer-songwriter Markéta Irglová. Svavar Knútur has
toured extensively across Europe and North America. He is also one of the
founding members and curators of the Melodica festival, where he curated the
Reykjavík branch. In 2015, he released the EP Songs ...
