Susie Van Der Meer
Susie van der Meer, born in 1973 in Varel, Friesland, Germany, is a German
singer-songwriter whose early studies in cultural pedagogy in Hildesheim led to
her discovery by producer Moses Schneider. Her breakthrough came with the
soundtrack contribution "Somebody Has to Pay" to the 1998 film Lola rennt. She
released the single "Shakin' an Ass" and the album Static Warp Bubble in 1997
under Polydor, followed by the 2003 independent release Luciferin. In 2006, the
album Eyes on Me compiled earlier tracks with new material, and a 2008 single,
"Gravity".
