Stretch, a British blues-rock band formed in 1973, was founded by Dave Terry,
known as Elmer Gantry. The group emerged from the remnants of Velvet Opera and
Armada, two previous bands that featured key members like Kirby Gregory on
guitar and Steve Emery on bass. Stretch's breakthrough came with their debut
single "Why Did You Do It?", released in 1975, which peaked at Number 16 on the
