Stratos Dionisiou
Stratos Dionisiou, born 8 November 1935 in Nigrita, Serres, Greece, was a Greek
folk singer. After early performances in Thessaloniki nightclubs, he debuted
professionally at the Farinda center. In 1969, he released the album Stratos
Dionisiou, followed by the 1970 release Mazi Me Ton Strato. Subsequent albums
include Ta 12 Tou Stratou (1974) and Ta Orthodoxa (1978). Dionisiou signed with
Columbia and later Minos, achieving sales of over 100,000 copies for Ipokrinese
(1980). He toured the United States and collaborated with artists like Haris
