Straight No Chaser is an American pop a cappella group formed in 1996 at Indiana
University in Bloomington, Indiana, by founding members Dan Ponce, Randy Stine,
Charlie Mechling, Steve Morgan, Jerome Collins, Dave Roberts, Walter Chase, Mike
Itkoff, and Patrick Hachey. The group transitioned to a professional act after a
1998 viral video of "The 12 Days of Christmas" attracted Atlantic Records CEO
Craig Kallman, who invited the original members to reunite and record a holiday
album. In 2008 the group released Holiday Spirits, which debuted at Number 1 on
