Stephanie Davis is an American country music singer and songwriter born in the
United States. Davis began a professional career as a songwriter in Tennessee,
with compositions recorded by artists including Shelby Lynne, Martina McBride,
and Waylon Jennings. Their breakthrough occurred in 1993 when Garth Brooks
recorded several of their songs, including “The Gift” (1993), “Wolves” (1993),
and the top 20 single “We Shall Be Free” (1992). Davis performed as an opening
