Stella Mwangi, born Stella Nyambura Mwangi on September 1, 1986, in Nairobi,
Kenya, is a Kenyan-Norwegian singer, rapper, and songwriter. She moved to Norway
in 1991 and began her music career at age 11. Mwangi's first notable project was
with the African music group The Rise, which released an album in 1998. Her solo
career started in 2006 with the single "Take it back (Reprends-le)". In 2011,
she represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Haba Haba". Mwangi
