Stars formed in Toronto, Ontario, in 2000 as a Canadian indie pop and indie rock
band, later relocating to Montreal, Quebec. Their debut album, Nightsongs,
arrived in 2001, followed by Heart in 2003 and Set Yourself on Fire in 2004, the
latter later released in the US and Germany in 2005. The band continued with the
remix album Do You Trust Your Friends? in 2007, alongside their fourth studio
album, In Our Bedroom After the War, made available digitally that July.
