Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known as Wizkid, was born on July 16, 1990, in Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. He began recording music at age 11 and released his first collaborative album with the Glorious Five. Wizkid signed with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) in 2009 and gained prominence with "Holla at Your Boy," the lead single from his debut studio album Superstar (2011).
