Star Academy
Star Academy, nicknamed "Star Ac'", is a musical reality show that was launched
on TF1 in 2001, and has revealed artists such as Jenifer, Grégory Lemarchal and
Nolwenn Leroy. The TV talent show not only enabled the winners to make a living
from their music, but also enabled other contestants to enjoy successful
careers, as Sofia Essaïdi, Olivia Ruiz and Quentin Mosimann proved. Stopped in
2008 due to a drop in ratings and public interest in its participants (Mickels
Réa, the winner of this eighth season, didn't even record an album), Star
Academy was reborn in 2012 thanks to DTT ...
