Sportfreunde Stiller
The Bavarian indie rock band Sportfreunde Stiller was founded in Germering in
1995 and currently consists of singer and guitarist Peter Brugger, drummer
Florian “Flo” Weber, and bassist and keyboardist Rüdiger “Rüde” Linhof. After
releasing two EPs, they released their debut album, So wie einst Real Madrid, in
2000. They achieved their breakthrough in 2002 with the single “Ein Kompliment,
” which spent 64 weeks on the German charts. Their next three albums— Die gute
Seite (2002), Burli (2004), and You Have to Win Zweikampf (2006)—all reached the
