Firmly rooted in electro-pop for its melodies and electro-rock for its heavy
rhythms, Sourya is swept away by the British media’s praise, which hails them as
“the best French band of the last 20 years.” Translated into the language of the
British music press, that translates to: best French band—of the month—of the
last 20 years. Let’s hope Sourya can filter out these misleading claims and
focus on the real promise hinted at by Dawdlewalk, their debut album, which is
set for release on October 12, 2009.
