Sordid Humor was an American rock band formed in 1987 by Tom Barnes and Jim
Gordon. The duo received support from various drummers and bassists throughout
their career. They released their debut EP, Tony Don't, on vinyl in 1989 by
Oedipus Records and disbanded in 1991. Post-breakup, their only full-length
album, Light Music for Dying People, was released by Capricorn Records in 1994.
Notable collaborations include backing vocals from Adam Duritz and bass
contributions from David Immerglück of Counting Crows on several tracks of the
