Sophia Choudry, was born on February 8, 1982, in Manchester and raised in
London. She began her musical journey at 12 when she was discovered by music
director Biddu. Initially a backup singer for artists like Shweta Shetty and
Alisha Chinai, she launched her pop career with the all-female band Sansara in
2000, releasing "Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai." After their second hit "Habibi," Choudry
pursued a solo career, moving to Mumbai in 2003 to become an MTV India VJ. Her
album Sound of Sophie in 2009. She has also ventured into acting, making her
film debut in David Dhawan's Shaadi No. 1.
