Sonar
Sonar is a Belgian electronic music ensemble established in 1996. The group
consists of the musicians Dirk Ivens and Eric Van Wonterghem. They achieved
professional recognition for a musical style characterized by power noise,
techno, and industrial music. The ensemble was founded as a side-project of the
noise artist Ivens with the assistance of the musician Patrick Stevens. Their
recording career began with the vinyl single Rotation (1996) and the eponymous
