Richard McLean Giese, known professionally as Social Repose, is an American
singer-songwriter, musician, and social media content creator who was born on
February 9, 1990 in Cabin John, Maryland. He began creating music in high school
and college. On April 22, 2011, he launched his YouTube channel with the single
“Helium House” (2011), which was followed by his debut EP, Paradise (2011), on
