Hailing from Ronchin, near Lille (Nord), Skip the Use was formed in 2008 around
singer and multi-instrumentalist Mat Bastard, a former member of Carving. In
2009, they released their first self-produced album, showcasing their danceable,
energetic rock. The five protagonists, signed to the Polydor label, saw their
audience grow with the following album Can Be Late (2012) and its lead single,
"Ghost". After a nomination at the Victoires de la Musique awards in 2012, the
