Skank, formed in 1991 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, began as a local ensemble led
by guitarist and vocalist Samuel Rosa, keyboardist Henrique Portugal, bassist
Lelo Zaneti, and drummer Haroldo Ferretti; the group released their independent
self‑titled album Skank in 1992, which sold 1,200 copies in 45 days and
attracted Sony Music’s interest, leading to a contract with the Chaos label. The
debut album’s singles, "O Homem Que Sabia Demais" and "Tanto", propelled the
